Dilly Salmon Dip / Spread

Makes 8 to 10 servings

RECIPE INGREDIENTS

3 lbs. cream cheese (soften to room temperature)
1 cup plain yogurt
2 Tablespoon lemon juice
2/3 cup cocktail sauce (see recipe)
3 green onions chopped
2 tsp Dill Weed
1/8 tsp white pepper
 

  METHOD

Blend all ingredients together very well, add smoked salmon to cream cheese mixture.

1½ cups of smoked salmon for every 1 pound of cream cheese mixture.

Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Cocktail Sauce
1 #10 can chili sauce
1 3/4 cup lemon juice
1 3/4 cup white vinegar
3/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 cups finely chopped celery
2 cups finely chopped onion ( 3 onions)
1/4 cup dried parsley
1/3 cup creamy horseradish
Mix well. Good for shrimp and other shellfish.
